Ever Heard of Jawcercise??

Hi folks, I beg to differ from my phrase above about not sharing the "not-so-great" stuff on my blog but this one is too funny not to add on.

Yes, I am about to introduce to you a new exercise regime to strengthen your jaw muscles but at the same time it might just grind down your teeth resulting in increasing your visitations to your dentist a little more than frequent.

The day started as usual, driving down to the city in the happiest of moods!  How can one not be when you are driving some 27km listening to "Happy" by Pharrel Williams and JLo's new "I Luhya Papi" plus The Chainsmokers "Selfie"?  Happy moods lasted till evening when driving home too!  Go get these tunes to make you feel like a million dollar baby and annoy those miserable people who don't know how to enjoy a good tune!  Yes, I am one that will never grow up or grow old in my brain!  I recommend it completely for most adults!  LOL

Ok back to the subject matter.  After watching The Journey, round 2, downloaded from Astro First HD, Channel 497 and the documentary on the making of the film (which I personally felt was pretty good too and very inspirational.  Suggest young adults watch it and remember your old folks during your too-busy schedules.  Yup, young people these days only think of how busy they are chasing that dream job and the money that doesn't pay enough to keep their dream jobs.)  Ooops, sorry side-tracked.

Anyway, after some good laughs and dripping of tears from the viewing, once again, the where to go for dinner dilemma struck this family that doesn't cook at home because the mummy has retired from the kitchen till she meets God.

Dad:  Let's go Indian or to Kahon (foreign language for Kah Hiong)
Son:  No, no, no Iindian please.
Me: OK Kahon it is!! (yes, we love giving nicknames to the places we go to)

Arrived at Kah Hiong, freaking full of hungry Chinese.  Didn't want the wait nor the noise!  Since it was late, we swung round the corner and to my son's horror, we ended up at Rimau Jaya.

Dad ordered his naan, son ordered steak and I ordered chicken maryland.  They have added a stall to cook western dishes.  Dad's naan came and was devoured in 10 mins, then in 20 mins, the western hadn't arrived.  After 30 mins, the chicken maryland without the sausage, came, ate that but the steak still didn't arrive.  After checking again, the steak got put onto the stove and finally arrived.  Hmmm, pretty large portion we thought.

Dad looked at it and said, "Better take off your slippers, put them on the plate and eat them instead!"  He had a premonition that his son would have a tough time with the leather (the steak that is, not his slippers)  that was on his plate.  First carve, failed, second carve, also failed, and third and fourth, getting better because it was reaching the centre of the cut.

Finally managed to get a cut into his mouth and for the first time in years, my son did not swallow his food, he was chewing like some starved cow chewing on grass forever!  Believe me it never seemed to end and if you looked closely I bet you could see his cheek fat reducing by every chew he took.  I told him we would bring him everyday so he would lose the double chin too!

Well, he manage to eat half of the portion, the rest being inedible, must have been a 100 year old cow or could have been a 100 year old buffalo?  Maybe it was leather after all!  It should have been sold to make a pair of slippers or purse, really.  Dad got tired waiting for him to finish, went to pay the bill and had a stroll in the heat.  I frantically took pictures and told myself, no matter how late it was, I had to document this dinner.

So if you are looking to go exercise your jaw muscles, try Jawcercise at Rimau Jaya, the place to go for steak or did I spell it wrongly, it should be "stake"!

Here are some pictures for some laughs.

I am quite sure it's buffalo!  Doubt it will look nicer as a pair of slippers.

Hmm?? Beef Steak served with lemon, as a tenderizer maybe?

Hahaha, double flossing my boy!

And another round of double flossing!  You can even see the jammed residue in this blurred picture!

So dear friends, if you care to go Jaw Gymming this is the place to visit:

Try their western dishes if you dare!

By the way, the chicken maryland was edible if you were dead hungry and haven't had a bite for a year and it doesn't come with a sausage which was shown in the picture.  The server reminded me that the pictures are for illustration purposes only!!  Remember ya!

All in all, we had a good laugh, even though dinner was a disaster especially for my son who spent a good 20 minutes removing all the meat that was stuck in between his teeth.

We went home singing and grooving to my cool music in the car to the horror of my husband who prefers Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and the likes!  There couldn't be a more Ying Yang couple than us two!

I know it's late but have a listen to the following, go to bed and have HAPPY DREAMS!!  I have a feeling my son will continue the chewing motion in his sleep and have nightmares of buffalos charging at him!

Here's a virtual hug and kiss to my readers!!
